The Painted Spaces project is dedicated to commissioning community-inspired murals in areas that have limited access to public art. By offering public art opportunities to local artists and bringing meaningful art to streetscapes and buildings, Painted Spaces aims to build community pride that connects us to one another and our neighborhoods.
In the fall of 2022 Columbus 2025 released a Call for Artists and received over 40 submissions from local artists, art collectives, and art students. The Painted Spaces Committee chose to commission five regional artists to install five murals across the Chattahoochee Valley. We’re pleased to announce the five selected artists and introduce you to their work.
